Non Precision Winding

Non precision winding is one kind of packages which consists a single thread which is laid on the package. This is placed on an appreciable helix angle. For that the yarn layer gives more stability and cross one another.
Feature of Non Precision Winding: The feature of non precision winding are given below,
1. Number of coils per traverse of yarn guide decrease with increase in package diameter.
2. Mainly used in staple fiber spun yarns.
3. Between cone surface and drum about 3% slippage occurs.
4. Yarn crossing angle remain constant throughout the package build up.
5. Non precision wound cones are driven by the frictional contact of drums with helically cut grooves, which gives to and fro motion of yarn.
