Grid

Separation of stock and impurities is achieved by devices which let the impurities pass but retain the stock by using grid.

The following elements can be used in grid/Elements of grid/Types of grid:

1. Slotted sheets.
2. Perforated sheet.
3. Triangular section bars.
4. Angle bars.
5. Blades.

Grid Adjustment: Three basic adjustments are possible, these are:

1. Distance of the complete grid to the beater grid.
2. Width of the gaps between the bars.
3. Setting angle relative to the beater envelope.
