Carbon Fiber

Carbon fiber is graphite and fabrics are highly flexible forms of manufacture graphite.
Production: Organic fiber (PAN, Rayon and polyester) is the starting materials. It is oxidized in air at 200-300ºC, the carbonized at 1080ºC and then graphitized by heating at temperature 3000ºC in argon.
End uses:
  1. Air craft structural compound.
  2. Golf club shafts.
  3. Protective cloth.
  4. The frame of racing car.
