The properties to stain the color
on the surface of textile materials during washing is called washing fastness.
Measurement of washing fastness:
Reagent:
i. Detergent.
ii. Na2CO3
iii. Distilled water.
Apparatus and materials:
i. Wash wheel with a thermostatically controlled water
bath and rotating speed 40rpm.
ii. Stain less steel container.
iii. Stainless steel ball (Dia= 0.6cm, wt=1gm).
iv. SDC multi fiber.
v. Temp (0-100ยบ C).
vi. Dryer/woven.
vii. Sewing machine.
viii. Grey scale for change.
ix. Grey scale for staining.
