Weft Preparation

By means of a shuttle carrying a bobbin the filling yarn is inserted on a conventional loom. At the end the bobbin should be tapered. For that the yarn may be pulled without interruption through the eye of the shuttle as the shuttle travels from one side of the loom to the other.
Necessity of Weft Preparation:
1. During processing the removal of slubs and weak places, otherwise it would impair the running loom.
2. Yards per pirn the production of the tighter packages have. Number of pirn changes in the loom is reduced for this. For that it reduced the possibility of flaws and wastage.
3. There is used greater uniformity of pirns. Uniformity of the fabric is improved by this.
4. Small lots are easily handled.
