Non Precision Winding

Non precision winding is one kind of packages which consists a single thread which is laid on the package. This is placed on an appreciable helix angle. For that the yarn layer gives more stability and cross one another.

Negative Tappet Shedding

negative tappet shedding
Construction: Figure shows a negative tappet shedding mechanism. A pair of tappets A & B is fixed to the bottom shaft C at 180ยบ to each other. Two treadle levers D & E are connected to the loom back-rail by a bracket F. The bracket acts as a fulcrum for the levers. The two treadles have teeth to carry the lamb rods G & H respectively. Two heald shafts J & K are connected to the lamb rods.

Special Finishes for Natural Fibers

The Special Finishes for Natural Fibers are given below:
  1. Bio-polishing: Bio-polishing removes the protruding fibers of a fabric through the action of an enzyme. Enzyme, such as cellulose for cotton, selectively removes protruding fibers. These enzymes may be deactivated by an increase in temperature.

Spring Bearded Needle

Feature of Spring Bearded Needle:
spring-bearded-needle

  1. The stem, around which the needle loop is formed.
  2. The head, where the stem is turned into a hook to draw the needle loop through the old loop.
  3. The eye, or groove cut in the stem to receive the pointed tip of the beard when it is pressed, thus enclosing the new loop.
  4. The beard, which is down wards continuation of the hook that is used to separate the trapped new loop inside from the loop it slides off the needle beard.
  5. The shank, which may be bent for individual location in the machine or eastarth others in a metal lead.

Needle Size

The numerical expression of fineness of needle is called needle size. There are two systems of needle size expression as follows:
  1. Metric system.
  2. Singer system.

Effect of Needle Size

Effect of needle size can be described into two ways. These are:
  1. If the needle finer than thread.
  2. If the needle coarser than thread.

Causes of needle point damaging

There are many reasons for damaging needle point. These are described below:
  1. Excessive heat production due to friction between needle and throat plate needle point may be damaged.
  2. Faulty fabric handling by operator during sewing.
  3. Needle deflection during sewing.
  4. Improper needle size selection.
  5. Improper needle point selection.

Near Parallel Winding

This package contains only one yarn and yarn is wound near parallel. Layers contain continuous inner side of the package.
